The Humpers Is A Pretty Good Band Name...

... for a band that makes pretty good rock and roll from a pretty good era to be where I was. It sure is fun rediscovering music from the formative years of life. These guys were in heavy rotation during my first carefree years of living in Victoria. It was probably the era I was listening to the most punk rock and roll. Those few years where we all has studded belts, drank six nights a week and referred to Supersuckers gigs as "concerts." Not so much for either, anymore. My buddy Steve gave me this Humpers CD, and I was down from the get go. I probably thought the piano The Humpers use made me more worldy or some shit, because no one in the genre that I had heard at the time was really doing that. Everything except drinking needed justification back then, including piano on an Epitaph release. This whole album rules, but here's a couple tasters if you're not familiar. Let it take you back to what you were doing in '97. If you're like me, it's both mortifying and magical.
