Time For A Beer With Captain Beyond
Look up criminally underrated bands in a dictionary and there they'll be, the godfathers of heavy psych, Captain Beyond. Seemingly doomed from the start, it was constant lineup changes, hard partying and all the bullshit ways the music industry conducted its business back in the 70's that contributed to what was a true supergroup's undoing. I mean, come on. Members of Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, and the Johnny Winters Band? Should've been the biggest thing going back then. But that is the joy of music; once it's recorded it never goes away. We got three albums out of them and two of them are still pretty fuckin' good. That's more than most bands can say these days, right?
