Hi.

Song Of The Day: Pond -Xanman

Pond, the somewhat simplified rock and roll spin-off from the Tame Impala collective is set to release their new album over the next week around the world and much like its predecessor, 2012's "Beard, Wives Denim", it sounds like its going to be steeped in fuzzed out psychedelia, with riffs that are easy to groove on and enough trippy soundwaves to lose yourself without having to try very hard, a trait that I not only treasure but more often than not find missing from big brother Impala's repertoire. The track below, "Xanman", brings back memories of early Pop Levi if you remember who that was, though you could hardly be faulted if you don't. I cant imagine Pond falling out of favor the way PL did though, as this new album sounds to be upping the ante on an already raised bar set by "Beard Wives Denim". No tour dates as of yet but I expect that to change sooner rather than later. For now... [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSFsYvvSXqc?feature=player_detailpage&w=640&h=360]
